How I Discovered Christa Helm
In 1974 I clipped an ad from my local newspaper for a movie entitled LET'S GO FOR BROKE. Even though I never saw the film I always remembered the name of its star, Christa Helm. More than 30 years later I found that clipping and decided to track down that movie only to find out that it seemingly didn't exist and that Christa Helm had been murdered in 1977. The case was never solved. This led to my (eventually successful) efforts to find LET'S GO FOR BROKE and the ongoing efforts of myself and others to piece together the amazing life of Christa Helm.

This was crazy. I feel Patty killed her. Why skip town and never be seen again?
ReplyDeleteYes I agree it’s suspicious Patty just disappeared. Whose party was Christa at the night of the murder? Who were the other guests? Someone must have followed her from there.
ReplyDeleteI believe both Patty Collins & Rudy Mazzella murdered Christa. I always felt that there were 2 murderers due to the fact that Christa was both bludgened & stabbed to death, & Rudy Mazella had bragged about murdering Christa.
